Five-year programme

Over a five-year period, we delivered asbestos removal and demolition projects in Hobsonville alongside remediation and bulk works across a 38.6 hectare redevelopment site, operating as the main contractor on a programme valued at $7.7 million.
This was not a single project, but an ongoing programme delivered across multiple precincts — spanning residential housing, infrastructure, and heritage-protected areas.
Works were delivered across a large, live redevelopment site where conditions, scopes, and priorities evolved over time.
The programme required a consistent, staged approach — balancing progress with safety, coordination, and long-term delivery across multiple workstreams.
The programme involved clearing and preparing large areas of land for redevelopment, with works extending across both surface structures and below-ground services.
In key areas such as the Buckley precinct, works were carried out across large brownfield zones over staged delivery periods. This included the relocation of approximately 70% of former military housing, with the remaining properties requiring demolition due to condition or asbestos contamination.
Remediation extended beyond the buildings and into the ground, where both current and redundant asbestos-contaminated service systems were identified and removed to achieve clean, compliant land ready for redevelopment.
Across other parts of the site, works included demolition and remediation of ageing engineering buildings and infrastructure, where materials such as Super Six roofing and asbestos-containing flooring required careful handling and controlled removal. In some cases, structures had deteriorated significantly, requiring full internal clean-outs to achieve clearance.
Heritage & Complex Structures
A number of works were undertaken within heritage-protected structures, requiring a higher level of control and planning.
This included remediation works within a large aircraft hangar approximately 27 metres high and 60 metres wide, where internal demolition and asbestos removal were carried out while maintaining the integrity of the main structure. The hangar was fully scaffolded and contained to manage air movement and ensure safe removal.
Additional works were completed across heritage ammunition bunkers, where asbestos roofing was removed using controlled methodologies to prevent damage or contamination of surrounding structures.
